Summary:Feed and "javascript void"
Original Request:
I actually have two issues:

1) My syndicated feeds from IJ to LJ (http://syndicated.livejournal.com/stele3_at_ij/profile) and Dreamworks (http://stele3-at-ij-feed.dreamwidth.org/profile) appear to not be updating and haven't for at least twenty-four hours. Because it's a problem with BOTH feeds, I believe it's an IJ technical issue. Do you know what's going on with that?

2) Whenever I try to add a html link to IJ posts in Rich Text mode, I get a "Javascript Void" message and the link doesn't work. Do I need to download a new patch or something?

Hi stele3 -

1) The feeds appear to have updated over the last 24 - 36 hours. Are you still experiencing this issue?

2) I just tried this - posting a link via Rich Text - and did not encounter the issues you describe.

Make sure you have javascript enabled for your browser and that you are not running an add-on such as 'No Script' for Firefox/Mozilla browsers as either of these could be contributing to the problem.

Thanx -

H2

1) Yes, but only with the LJ feed. I think it's something on their end. The DW feed updated. I've filed a support ticket with LJ.

2) I have Javascript enabled for Firefox...but Firefox is borked. I just went looking and discovered that Firefox has all kinds of problems running Javascript. The linking in Rich Text works fine if I use Internet Explorer.

What browser are you using?

Thanks for your help,
stele3

Hi stele3 -

When troubleshooting the Rich Text Editor issue, I was using Firefox 3.0.14. If you're running an older version of Firefox, updating to a more current version might correct the issue.

Thanx -

highlander_ii,

....yeah, that's exactly what I have, too. And I have Java enabled.

But this is what I get whenever I try to create a link: <a href="javascript:void(0);/*1256527786128*/">

Oy vey, what the hell? *shakes fist at computer*

This is an issue with the rich text editor. We are working to resolve it.
