After creating a PIN, you will be able to post by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the PIN in the subject or the body of your message. It is also possible to send the email to exampleusername+PIN@post.insanejournal.com, replacing "exampleusername" with your username, and "PIN" with your PIN number.
Note that your email should be in plain text format rather than rich text or HTML format in order for it to post properly. There is no way to turn on the "Don't auto-format" option when posting through email. If you would like to keep your entry from being automatically formatted, you can use the <lj-raw> tag within your entry. More information on the <lj-raw> tag can be found here: ( http://www.insanejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=49).
