What is validation? How do I validate my email address?
Validation is a method of ensuring that there is an actual user behind created accounts. It is important for users to validate their email address because it's crucial to account security, several features aren't available to non-validated users, and your account will eventually be deleted if you do not validate.
The validation email is sent automatically; please ensure that your spam mail filters are not preventing you from receiving it. You may find it necessary to add firstname.lastname@example.org, the address from which this email is sent, to your allowed list.
If you deleted the validation email, you can have it resent to you. To do this, first visit your edit info page and make sure that the email address associated with your account is correct. One typing or spelling error can prevent you from receiving the email.
Then, after making changes to your email address if necessary, go to the register page. You will notice an asterisk (*) marked by the accounts whose email addresses have not been validated.
