Style System 2 (S2) is a more powerful, easily customizable style system intended to give users with a basic knowledge of customization the ability to control more aspects of their journal. S2 is also highly customizable for users who are experienced with the S2 style language.

If you cannot use a particular option, the reason is most likely that your account type does not permit use of that option.

Free Patient account holders are limited in the options that they can choose under the new style system. If you would prefer to keep using the old style system for now, visit http://www.insanejournal.com/customize/ while you are logged in (http://www.insanejournal.com/login.bml) and select "Old system (S1)" from the drop-down box under "Choose style system".

The S2 Link List feature allows you to create a list of hyperlinks that will be displayed on your journal (or asylum). Link Lists are currently supported by the following S2 system styles:

-- Haven
-- Opal (Libra OSWD)
-- Punquin Elegant

To create or edit a Link List, login and visit [http://www.insanejournal.com/manage/links.bml]. Provide a URL web address and title for each hyperlink you'd like to make, and then press the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the page.

To change the listing order of your Link List without having to entirely delete any existing links, you can modify the link order numbers. These can be found in each link's "Order" field.

To include your Link List in your S2 journal style, look for the "Link List Support" option in the customization wizard. Then, change the setting to "Yes" and save your changes.
